The florin sign (ƒ) is a symbol that is used for the currencies named florin, also called a gulden or guilder. The symbol "ƒ" is the lowercase version of of the Latin alphabet. In Unicode it does not have a separate code point, but the has "Florin sign" amongst its alternative names. In many serif typefaces, it can often be substituted with a normal italic small-letter f ( ).
